Shahid Afridi stresses on academies to flourish cricket
Shahid Afridi once again has put stress on the building of academies throughout Pakistan. He said that there are only the academies that can help cricket being flourished in this country. He said that he has been speaking about academies for many years now.
Afridi said that he has played 20 years of cricket. He has been around for so many years and yet when he has to make some practice there is no academy in Karachi where he can go. He said that there is one academy in Pakistan and that is in Lahore. The NCA runs under the authority of PCB. Apart from that one academy there is no other that is there to help the young cricketers. Shahid Afridi said that now the PC has started to do something about the academies which is a good sign.
Afridi said that at the moment one academy is being opened in Karachi. Then there is one in Multan now. He said that he feels all the cities of Pakistan should have academies. There are so many young kids playing cricket now. You never know what level of talent they have got.
Afridi said that he believes these academies are like schools. If you want to study and take education you go to a school. Same is the case here. If you want to learn cricket and play it in a much better way then you have to get to an academy.
Afridi said that he had to move to Lahore to practice for the World T20. He said that there was no place for him to practice and that is him he is talking about, one player who has played for so many years in international cricket. Afridi said that the whole Punjab is there present at the Lahore academy.
Afridi said that there are less chances that Pakistan might give results if the facilities are not thee. He said that the board has to put money on the facilities. This is the only way possible that one can flourish cricket. Afridi said that he has seen a lot in his cricketing career and he feels that without facilities there is no way the cricket can work longer. Pakistan is doing well despite the availability of less resources. Think about the results if there are resources. Afridi said that he has been talking all these things for too long now. The board should take notice of all these things and they have to give money to the needy places for the sake of cricket.

As it was being expected Sharjeel Khan played a very good knock against Australia in the third test at Sydney vs Australia. This is the maiden test match for Sharjeel Khan and he has played well uptill now in the second innings of this 3rd. test match. Sharjeel Khan could not get much in the first innings but the second innings was good for him.
Sharjeel Khan attacked the off spinner Lyon. He has played his shots against the spinner hitting him for some good boundaries, but in the end it was Lyon who took his wicket. But Sharjeel khan looked promising. He can be tried out as a test opener in place of Sami Aslam.
Mr. Sharjeel started with a cut on the off side against Starc. This ball was outside the off stump and he easily cu the ball through the gap on the deep third man and easily got his first boundary. The second one was again on the off side and against the same bowler. This ball was much easy for Sharjeel. It was a full toss on the off side and Sharjeel just placed the ball on the off side. There was no problem for him to hit the ball here. Full toss in any format is one of the easiest shots in the World.
Later on Sharjeel Khan started hitting the ball against Lyon the off spinner. The first hit was over long on. This was a flighted ball and Sharjeel picked it up over the infield. The ball was there to be hit and Sharjeel just hit it with all the ease. He is really strong against the Spinners.
However, the next shot was again on the same side and this time the ball landed into the stands. Again Lyon gave the ball some air and Sharjeel went after it straight away. He reached the pitch of the all and whacked it over long on for a huge six. The next shot was a beautiful one. Sharjeel just lofted the ball on the off side with the spin. Lyon was turning the ball and still Sharjeel hit it with the spin which is only easy while talking about it. In reality it is pretty much tough shot. Sharjeel after hitting all these shots got out.
Sharjeel Khan this time tried to whip a length ball on the leg side and Sharjeel did hit it well but straight into the hands of Warner at mid-wicket. This was an unfortunate end to an entertaining knock from the left hander. He really played well and could have easily hit some more runs. Pakistan loses their first wicket in the second innings. They need massive runs again.

Colin Munro has blasted New Zealand into a dominant position midway through their T20 international against Bangladesh in Mount Maunganui on this Friday.
This left-hander batsman smashed seven sixes & as many Fours on his way to reach 101 from just only 54 balls as the Black Caps plundered total 195-7 off their 20 overs T20 at Blake Park after visiting skipper Mashrafe Mortaza winning the toss and sent his rivals in.
This seemed as an inspired move when makeshift opener Luke Ronchi fell to the very first ball of this match, whereas a rare failure from skipper Kane Williamson and the dismissal of Corey Anderson saw the hosts teetering at only 46 for 3 in the sixth over of this T20.
However, Munro employed his trademark aggression from the outset, he blazed away to compile the fourth individual century in T20 for New Zealand & also got great support from Tom Bruce, who is playing in his only second match for his country.
Both the batsman put on 123 runs for the fourth wicket partnership in just over 11 overs, with Bruce no slouch either as he muscled his way to an unbeaten 59 runs off 39 balls only (he hit five fours and a six). This score was New Zealand’s seventh-highest score in the T20 team total.

Its a common fact that when most of the batsmen struggle for a 100 and reach to lands of vast nervousness in the 90s figure in a test innings. Younis Khan was very courageous enough to use his feet against a spinner, who was turning the ball and rammed for him a huge six, which was very amazing not only for himself but also for the crowed. When Younis reach on 92 runs, then he went down the track against Lyon & he dispatched him over one of longest boundaries at the Sydney Cricket Ground in the 3rd. test vs Australia. The Australian Crowed like this shot very much and the whole crowd gave Younis a clapping tribute for his courage and the shot execution method.
This have been a superb knock from the Pakistani batsman. We saw the same thing happened to him in England, then he was struggling and was not been able to get runs. During the current three test matches Younis did not even get a fifty and then boomed. He hit a match winning double ton in the fourth.
There it is a similar kind of story, Younis Khan just got one fifty in the first two test matches and now in the third, he has hit a hundred in the opening innings. Another great knock of from the Pakistani middle order batting Giant. Younis Khan let the Aussies have a taste of their medicines.
This knock is considered was a special. Making hundred in Australia for an Asian player is always something he remembers his whole life. These tracks here in Australia aren't made for the Asian players. The ball bounces a lot and then bounce is something, which the Asian batters are not good at.
Younis didn't spend much of his time coming at 90s, whereas most of the batsmen did get stuck in the 90s figure. Many of them even then fall out as well. As the pressure is always there of the 90's no matter how big player you are in any format of cricket. Test cricket has an intensity. There was no pressure seen on Younis Khan however.
When any batsman reaches at 90's figure, most of the batsmen take singles and doubles but Younis had some other plannings. At the moment when Lyon gave him flight Younis Khan was out of his crease to the pitch of the ball and then he just smoked this one over the top towards the long on. However, there was no fielder present in the deep though and this would have been over his head if he was there. It was a big six and Younis khan moved to from 92 to 98. This was a very courageous shot from the Pakistani batsman at this stage. It may looking easy but in reality it was not so. There are millions of thoughts running thru your mind when you are about to reach some milestones.
